What Will Happen to Your Google Account after Death?

Everyone who uses social media or the Internet has a Google Account. Important information is saved in your Google Account. If you die suddenly, what will happen to that account? In addition to your confidential information, photos, and emails, Google Accounts also stores a lot of important information that is highly private. But what will happen to them after death? Will it reach someone else's hands?

To prevent this from happening, Google has a feature called Inactive Account Manager. With this Inactive Account Manager feature, you can now decide what will happen to your Google Account after death.

If you stop using the account, you can now decide what will happen to the information saved by Google. If you do not use the account for a specific day, you can notify any loved one about it. You can also request Google to delete all your information. As a result, if you do not use the account at the specified time, Google will delete all data in your account.

How to set the feature -

• Open the browser and then click on myaccount.google.com.
• Click on the Data & Personalization option on the left.
• Scroll down and click on ‘Download, delete, or make a plan for your data’ option.
• Now click on the Make a plan for your account option and tap on the Start button. 
• After that select the option, when to inactivate your account, if you are not using the account for long.
• For this, by clicking on the pencil icon, time can be selected from three to six months, 12 or 18 months.
• Now add a phone number. Google will send a message to this number before deleting the account information.
• You can also select 10 people. These people allow you to share some of your personal information.
• For that, you have to select Add Person and give their e-mail address. Also, select the information that you want to share.
• Now save their phone number. You can also add private messages if you wish. No message will be sent to the contact during account setup.
• Right after that, add the subject and save.
• Select Next and enable the ‘Yes, delete my inactive Google Account’ option. Then your account will be deleted at the specified time.
