Instant messaging service WhatsApp will stop working on 43 smartphone models from Monday (November 1).

The messaging app has shared a list of Android and iOS devices that will no longer work from November 1, 2021.

Any phone on this list will no longer be able to receive support from the application and will be incompatible with WhatsApp.

Company bosses say this in order to focus efforts on the latest generation smartphones, to guarantee an optimal service of the app.

WhatsApp instead recommends using Android running OS 4.1 and newer, or iPhones running iOS 10 and newer.
