Global Coronavirus Death Toll Climbs to 704,365

A total of 704,365 people died from coronavirus worldwide in 213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in China's Wuhan last December, according to the new figures from the worldometer.

Thus far, 18,704,378 people have been infected with coronavirus before Wednesday (Bangladesh Time 10:35 a.m.). Among these, 11,917,802 patients were deemed rescued, according to the source.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 6,082,211.

For the new 24-hour report, 7,176 patients died of coronavirus, while 260,894 cases of coronavirus were reported and 244,885 patients were deemed rescued.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 160,290 deaths, followed by Brazil with 96,096, Mexico 48,869, UK 46,299, India  39,820, Italy 35,171, France 30,296, Spain 28,498, Iran 17,617, Russia 14,351, Canada 8,958, Pakistan 5,999, Indonesia 5,388, Bangladesh 3,234, Saudi Arab 2,984 and Australia 247 respectively, worldometer reported.
