In the besieged Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, Israeli attacks have resulted in the deaths of 33 individuals, including 21 women.

On the evening of Friday, October 18, Israeli forces targeted several homes in Jabalia. The media office of the Hamas-controlled Gaza government reported these casualties and expressed concern that the death toll could exceed 50, as many individuals remain trapped under rubble. Additionally, 85 others have been injured, with several in critical condition.

So far, the occupying Israeli forces have not commented on the significant number of female casualties in Jabalia.

Located in northern Gaza, Jabalia has faced renewed heavy bombardment from Israel over the past two weeks, as Hamas fighters had reorganized in the refugee camp. The group also managed to re-establish a civilian government in the area.

It is noteworthy that the conflict between Hamas and Israel began on October 7 of last year, when Hamas fighters attacked various illegal settlements in Israel. During that time, they abducted nearly 250 individuals and killed approximately 1,200.

In retaliation for these attacks, Israel commenced extensive bombing campaigns in Gaza the same day. Over the past year of relentless violence, nearly 43,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, and more than 100,000 have been injured.
