Saudi Arabia plans to invest at least $60 billion in the United States over the next four years, according to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Crown Prince shared this plan during a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday (January 23).

In the conversation, Prince Mohammed mentioned that the expected reforms under the Trump administration could lead to "unprecedented economic prosperity," and Saudi Arabia aims to take advantage of this opportunity. He also noted that if further opportunities arise, the investment amount could increase.

On the same day, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated President Donald Trump on his re-election for a second term. He extended congratulations on behalf of himself and King Salman, wishing Trump continued success in the Oval Office.

The Crown Prince expressed that Saudi leaders hope for further progress and prosperity for the American people. In response, President Trump thanked King Salman and the Crown Prince, expressing his eagerness to work together for the mutual interests of both countries.

In 2018, Prince Mohammed bin Salman had stated that a portion of military equipment would be manufactured in Saudi Arabia. This initiative was expected to create jobs in both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, foster good trade, enhance economic growth, and strengthen security. The Crown Prince expressed his desire to continue this cooperation during President Trump’s new term.

It is worth noting that in 2017, during his first foreign trip as President, Trump visited Saudi Arabia. There, he participated in several events with King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, enjoying lavish ceremonies including sword dances and air force fly-pasts. During that visit, King Salman awarded President Trump the kingdom's highest civilian honor, the "Collar of Abdulaziz Al Saud." During his first term, President Trump also identified Saudi Arabia as a key "energy and security partner" for the United States.
