Another plane crash occurred in the United States just three days after the mid-air collision near Washington, D.C. On Friday, January 31, in the evening, a plane crashed near Roosevelt Boulevard and Cotman Avenue in northeast Philadelphia. According to BBC's report, the crash resulted in the aircraft hitting several buildings, causing fires in nearby houses and vehicles. Several people on the ground were reported to have been injured.
According to BBC and other U.S. news outlets, the plane was on a medical transport mission, and there were six people on board, including a doctor and a child patient.
Rescue workers have already begun recovery efforts, and the public has been urged to stay away from the crash site.
Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, in a press conference, stated that the city authorities were still unsure of the exact number of casualties but requested prayers for the victims. She also asked people to call 911 if they found any wreckage from the plane.
The crash occurred just a few blocks away from Roosevelt Mall, a busy three-story shopping center in the city. The area where the plane crashed consists of terracotta houses and shops.
Earlier, on Wednesday, a military helicopter collided with a passenger plane near Washington's Reagan National Airport, killing 67 people.
