TikTok Sensation Opu Arrested for Assaulting Public

Police have detained TikTok Celebrity Opu, also identified as 'Ofu Bai' on social media, on suspicion of abusing, threatening and attacking people in public areas.

He was arrested from Uttara in the capital at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday, said Azizur Talukder, sub-inspector of the Uttara East Police Station and also investigator of the case.

Police sent Opu to a metropolitan magistrate court in Dhaka on Tuesday. 

Uttara East Police Station inspector (investigation) Adil Hossain said that Opu attacked some of the public on Saturday evening and that the victim lodged a complaint against him and another person with the police station.

Police in the following night arrested Opu from Uttara Sector-6.
