Severe Heat Wave Likely to Continue for Some Days

The heat wave has started again in the country. A mild heat wave is sweeping over four districts along with three divisions. The Department of Meteorology has said that there is a fear that this heat wave may continue for some days. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in some areas of the three divisions.

This information has been given in the weather forecast till 6 pm on Thursday. 

Meteorologist Abdul Hamid Miah said that a mild heat wave is sweeping over 13 districts of Dhaka division, 14 districts of Chattogram division, 10 districts of Khulna division, and Rajshahi, Pabna, Patuakhali, and Bhola districts. This heat wave may continue few more days.

He also said that the weather in the entire country may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky. There may be temporary gusty or windy rain or thundershower at two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions. Day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

The meteorologist also said that the trend of rainfall with rain or thunderbolt may increase in the next five days.

On Wednesday, the highest temperature in the country was 38.1 degrees Celsius in Cox's Bazar and the lowest was 19.2 degrees Celsius in Tentulia.
