Mild Heatwave Sweeping over Different Parts of Country

The Met Office has issued a prediction for the next 24 hours, beginning at 9am today, and states that a mild heat wave may continue to impact the districts of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Pabna, Feni, and Chuadanga.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain or thundershowers in many places over Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions, as well as a few places over Rangpur and Chattogram divisions, one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions, and places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

The temperature may not change considerably from day to night in many areas of the country.

There is a low pressure area over the surrounding Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay. The axis of the monsoon trough traverses southern Bangladesh before moving across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and the low's core to Assam.

The monsoon is moderate elsewhere and less vigorous over Bangladesh over North Bay.

Bangladesh's highest recorded temperature was 37.5 degrees Celsius on Monday in Rajshahi, while its lowest recorded temperature today was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Bandarban. Up until six this morning, Tetulia had recorded the nation's greatest 24-hour rainfall total of 36 millimeters (mm).

The sun will set in Dhaka today at 6:45 PM and rise tomorrow at 5:25 AM.
