Due to some activity in the monsoon winds, rainfall has increased across the country. The weather department has indicated that on Saturday (September 2), there may be a higher probability of rain in three divisions of the country.

With a decrease in the activity of the monsoon winds, the country has experienced reduced rainfall over the past few days. Temperature fluctuations have started in various regions of the country. Now, along with the increasing trend in rainfall, the temperature range is also decreasing.

Over the last few days, Dhaka has seen some rain. On Saturday, the sky in Dhaka has been partly cloudy since the morning. However, there has been some rainfall in Dhaka since noon.

From Saturday morning until 6 a.m. on Sunday, the highest recorded rainfall over the past 24 hours was in Sylhet, where it reached a significant 94 millimeters. In Dhaka, there have been only 2 millimeters of rain. Rainfall intensity is lower in the northern regions.

The monsoon wind over Bangladesh is currently relatively active and moderate over the northern Bay of Bengal, according to the meteorological department.

From Saturday morning at 9 a.m. to the next 24 hours, the weather forecast predicts that in many areas of the Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions (from regions 51 to 75), as well as in some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions, there may be temporary light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers, including occasional heavy rainfall. During this time, daytime and nighttime temperatures throughout the country may decrease slightly.

In Tangail, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Kushtia, and some other regions, there is a gradual decrease in the mild temperature trend, and it may become somewhat cooler in some areas, as reported by the meteorologist.

On Friday, the highest recorded temperature in the country was 37.5 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga and Sayedpur. In Dhaka, the highest temperature was 35.4 degrees Celsius.
