Moderate Storm Likely To Hit 6 Regions By Noon

The Meteorological Department has said that there may be temporary gusty winds of 45 to 60 km per hour over six regions of the country or rain with thunder. Besides, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signs.

This information is given in the weather forecast till 1 pm today Saturday (September 23).

It said that there may be temporary gusty or gusty winds or thundershowers from south or south-east over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Pabna, Jessore and Kushtia regions. The river ports of all these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

According to the weather forecast till 6 pm today, there may be light to moderate rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder in most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and many places of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Also, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur at some places across the country.

In the next 24 hours from 6 pm, light to moderate rain with gusty wind or thunder may occur in most places of Rangpur division and many places of Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.
