The Meteorological Department has said that there may be temporary rain or thunder with a maximum speed of 60 km over 13 districts of the country. This information has been given in the weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm today, Friday (September 29).

According to the forecast, temporary gusty or gale force winds of 45-60 km per hour from South or South-East over Dhaka, Tangail, Mymensingh, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions. There may be rain or thunderstorm.

Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.

According to meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick, the axis of the monsoon is extending across India's Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and southern parts of Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of this is located in the southern Bay of Bengal. Also monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal. Besides, a low pressure is likely to develop over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours.

It should be noted that in this situation, the day and night temperature may decrease slightly in the next 24 hours.
