Moderate Thunderstorm Likely To Hit In Parts Of Country

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely to occur at many places over the north, south and north-eastern region and at a few places over north and central regions including the capital.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country", said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am today.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Country's maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 47 millimeters(mm) at Satkhira.

Country's highest temperature 35.0 degree Celsius recorded on Saturday at Sayedpur while country's lowest temperature recorded 23.0 degree Celsius at Tetulia.

The Well-marked low over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved West-northwestwards and now lies over Bihar and adjoining area.

 The monsoon trough runs through East Uttar Pradesh, the center of the well-marked low to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
