The chill is settling in as temperatures dip slightly every day. There's a hint of drizzle in both regions of the country, while elsewhere, overcast skies may prevail. The weather office predicts a decrease in nighttime temperatures starting from Wednesday night, potentially leading to a surge in cold.

According to the weather forecast, a significant portion of the country, particularly Bihar and adjacent areas, is experiencing an increase in atmospheric pressure. Meanwhile, the southern Bay of Bengal is witnessing normal low pressure typical of this season.

During the next 24 hours starting from Wednesday at 9 am, the nighttime temperatures may drop by one to two degrees Celsius nationwide, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged. In the Sylhet division, scattered showers or light rain might occur in a few places.

Furthermore, it's anticipated that tomorrow, Thursday (February 8th), there will be a slight decrease in nighttime temperatures across the country, with daytime temperatures remaining mostly stable. On Friday (February 9th), both nighttime and daytime temperatures are likely to remain unchanged.

The weather office has issued a cautionary note, stating that from Wednesday at 9 am until the following 72 hours, moderate to dense fog may occur over the country's rivers and light to moderate fog elsewhere.

With the temperatures gradually dropping and the possibility of foggy conditions looming, people are advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe during this wintry spell.
