Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has warned that thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds may occur over five regions of the country, with speeds ranging from 45 to 60 kilometers per hour.

This warning, covering regions like Cumilla, Barishal, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Sylhet, indicates the possibility of approaching thunderstorms or squally weather from the west or northwest direction.

During this time, rainfall or thunderstorms are likely, prompting the authorities to advise heightened vigilance for river ports within these areas.

Additionally, the weather department has issued advance warnings for rainfall or thunderstorms in several regions over the next three days. Moreover, the forecast suggests a further rise in temperature over the next five days.

Yesterday evening, information regarding the weather forecast for the next 72 hours starting from 6 PM was disseminated.

According to the meteorological department, until Friday evening, areas in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience temporary gusts or squally weather, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.

Furthermore, scattered clouds with predominantly dry weather may prevail elsewhere in the country. During this time, temperatures across the nation may remain relatively stable day and night.
