Rain Likely In Dhaka, Three Other Divisions

The met office has issued a pre-monsoon rainfall forecast for four divisions, including the capital, Dhaka. From 9 a.m. 

Friday (May 3) until the next 24 hours, the met office has indicated the possibility of temporary rain or thunderstorms with gusts in some places of Chattogram division and in two or three places of Dhaka, Barisal, and Sylhet divisions. 

Additionally, scattered hailstorms may occur in some areas. Moreover, partially cloudy skies with mainly dry conditions may prevail elsewhere in the country.

Furthermore, intense heatwaves are sweeping across Rajshahi, Pabna, Jashore, Chuadanga, and Kushtia districts. 

Conversely, mild to moderate heatwaves are affecting parts of Dhaka, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Barisal divisions, as well as the remaining areas of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, with some areas likely to experience a decrease in intensity.

The met office has also mentioned the possibility of a slight decrease in daytime temperatures and a slight increase in nighttime temperatures nationwide. 

Regarding the synoptic situation, it has been reported that the expanded area of ​​western depression extends from West Bengal to the southwestern part of Bangladesh to the northeast Bay of Bengal.

Yesterday's highest temperature was recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, while today's lowest temperature was recorded at 16.1 degrees Celsius in Tetulia. Over the past 24 hours, the country's highest rainfall was recorded at 67 millimeters in Rangamati.
