Amid the prevailing heat wave across the country the Met Office has been issued a 'heat alert' again. On the other hand, the Department of Meteorology has also said there is a risk of low pressure in the sea after May 20. Even the low pressure can be turned into a cyclone and after forming the cyclone it will be named as 'Remal'.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone may hit Bangladesh and West Bengal by the end of this month.

Meteorologist Md. Tarikul Newaz Kabir told the media that cyclones usually form over the Bay of Bengal in May and June. In that sequence, a low pressure may be created after the 20th. It is likely to become more intensified.

He also said that nothing can be said about the movement and impact of the cyclone until it is formed.

Another meteorologist Hafizur Rahman said a low pressure may be created but the low pressure has not yet developed. So we can't talk about a cyclone right now. But we are monitoring.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Office says that a cyclone has formed near the southern coast of Tamil Nadu, India. It is likely to become a cyclonic storm in the next seven days.
