Panchagarh Aman Harvesting Goes On in Full Swing

In the district awaiting its bumper production this year, Aman harvesting is going on in full swing.

The farmers are delighted to see Aman paddy's bumper production and the entire paddy fields are coloured in golden colours, reports BSS.

Sufficient rainfall, no pest attack, fertilizer availability coupled with a favorable climate were a blessing for Aman farmers.

Panchagarh Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said that approximately 99,695 hectares of land have been cultivated under Aman with a production goal of 3,26,644 metric tons of food grain.

Panchagarh Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director of DAE, told BSS that the department provided farmers with quality Aman seeds , fertilizers and other agricultural inputs free of charge.

The department has also provided farmers modern technology training to improve production.
