Renowned Writer Samaresh Majumdar in ICU

Renowned writer Samaresh Majumdar was admitted to a Kolkata hospital with a breathing problem on Friday.

According to Anandabazar, the 79-year-old novelist was suffering from respiratory problems as a result of a lung infection, but his coronavirus test result was negative.

He was admitted to Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals' intensive care unit. A medical board has been constituted to keep a close eye on his condition.
