Bodies of a couple recovered from Mymensingh

Bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from the Fulbaria upazila of Mymensingh this morning.

The deceased were identified as Iman Ali, 45, an ex-member of Bhabanipur Union Parishad and his wife Aklima Khatun 40, reports our Mymensingh correspondent quoting Md Firoz Talukder, officer-in-charge of Fulbaria Police Station.

Villagers found the body of Aklima in the pond adjacent to their house while Iman’s body was found hanging in the house, the official said.

We haven’t been able to confirm yet whether they committed suicide or if they were murdered, the OC said.

There are no injury marks on their bodies, he added.
