Nasima
Begum, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission told reporters that the
victim can give a vivid description of the rapist, including sketches.
Today Nasima Begum met and spoke to the victim at OneStop Crisis Center of Dhaka
Medical College Hospital.
"The
girl told that she will be able to identify the rapist if she sees him. She can
also assist in making a sketch of the rapist. She stated the rapist’s body
structure, haircut and how he looks. She has quickly overcome her trauma,
which is why I truly appreciate her courage. Yesterday she was not as normal as
today."
Sub-Commissioner
of Gulshan Division, Dhaka Metropolitan Police- Sudeep Chakraborty said,
"All the branches are working from the start ensuring the case’s highest
importance. The case has been handed over to the DB."
"We are seeking technical
support from the very beginning. We gathered footage from the surrounding
CCTVs. Footages are under analysis. As that road is a very busy one, there was
enough crowd, so we could not identify the rapist yet. We are trying our best.
It is not possible to say further in the interest of the investigation," he added.
The victim
was on her way to a friend's house on Sunday (January 5) at around 5:30 pm.
After leaving bus at Kurmitola, an unknown person followed her. Later, she was

The incident occurred within 7 pm to 8 pm. She gained consciousness at around 10 pm. Later, she went
