HC: Why Asst Teacher Recruitment Test Results Not Illegal

The High Court (HC) on Tuesday issued a rule seeking an explanation as to why the final test results of assistant teacher recruitment to government primary schools should not be declared illegal.

The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman released the rule after hearing a writ petition.

Advocate Md Kamal Hossain stood for the petitioner while Deputy Attorney General Amit Talukdar represented the state.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the Director-General of the Primary Education Directorate and others concerned were asked to respond to the rule within 10 days.

Kamal Hossain said as per the Primary School Teacher Recruitment Rules 2013, the vacant posts must be filled with 60 percent women candidates, 20 percent dependents and the remaining 20 percent male candidates.

Sixteen candidates lodged the writ as the recruitment test results published on December 24 did not comply with the rules.
