Flight Ready to Bring Back Students from China: Momen

Foreign Minister Dr AKM Abdul Momen said that Bangladesh is on alert to prevent the mysterious virus in Wuhan province of China and the flight is ready to bring 500 Bangladeshi students back home from there if they want.

The foreign minister made the remark responding to a question of newsman after attending a seminar titled 'Implementation of the third periodic review of Bangladesh' at Lakshore Hotel at Gulshan in the capital on Tuesday. 

Momen said that the government of China will observe the present coronavirus situation for 14 days and no foreigners will be allowed to enter or exit China during this time.

''After two weeks of observation and based on the decision of the Chinese government regarding the coronavirus outbreak, we will bring home the Bangladeshi nationals living there as we are prepared,'' he said.
