Army Will Not Be Deployed in CCC Polls: EC

Election Commissioner Mohammad Rafiqul Islam said today that in the upcoming election to Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), members of the armed forces will not be deployed.

But the army's unarmed leaders will stay in the voting centers to support the EVM system so that no one is robbed of casting his ballot.

He said the EC is trying its level best to maintain a peaceful environment in the polling centers.
