Voters' Number Stands At 10.98 Crore Now: CEC

The total number of voters in the country has risen from 10.41 crores in the current year to 10.98 crores, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda said today.

"The number of voters across the country stands at 10.98 crores and of them, new voters are 69 lakh 71 thousand," he said.

The Chief Election Commissioner came up with the updated information while addressing a program at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital marking the National Voters' Day this afternoon.

Of the total number, 5,554,82,530 are male voters while 5,43,36,222 are female and 360 are from third gender community, Nurul Huda said.
