Deputy Secretary Found Dead

A deputy secretary of the Labour and Employment Ministry has been found dead at his residence at Bailey Road's government officers' quarter in Dhaka.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Kader Chowdhury, 60, deputy secretary at Labour and Employment Ministry.

Police recovered the decomposed body from his house on Wednesday night.

The body of the deceased was then sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 2:00 am on early Thursday.

The body has been kept at the DMCH’s morgue.

On information, deceased Abdul Kader Chowdhury used to live alone on the third floor of 1/5 no house at Bailey Road. Local residents informed police after getting acute stench from the house and law enforcers found the body at around 6:30 pm.

It was primarily guessed that Abdul Kader Chowdhury died at his house nearly 5 to 6 days ago.
