Bangabandhu’s March 7 Speech to Energise World People for Ages: PM

Prime Minister Sheik Hasina described the appeal of the March 7 speech in Bangabandhu as eternal, stating that the Father of the Nation's historic address would continue to energize the world's populations alongside the peasants for ages.

"The Father of the Nation's March 7 speech is the only speech that has retained its popularity throughout the world for the last 49 years and it will not only continue to invigorate the peasants but also the people of the globe for decades," she added.

This afternoon, Sheik Hasina, also president of the Bangladesh Awami League, discussed a debate here at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).

The prime minister echoed her appeal to party leaders and staff to complement the strides of the government to ensure the Mujib Borsho housing for all.

“We’ve ensured food security for the people and are reaching healthcare services to their doorsteps and giving scope for education. So, not a single person will remain homeless in the Mujib Borsho, it cannot happen,” she said.

The AL arranged the discussion on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman's historic March 7 address.

At the meeting, AL Secretary-General and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader gave an introductory address.

The discussion was attended by AL Advisory Council Member Amir Hossain Amu, Presidium Member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Sheik Fazlul Karim Selim, Mohammad Nasim and Muhammad Faruk Khan and former Chairman of the University Grants Commission and former Chancellor of Chattogram University Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan.

In addition, AL Joint Secretary-General and Minister for Communication Dr Hasan Mahmud, AL Joint Secretary-General Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif, Central Committee member Parveen Zaman Kalpana, Dhaka South City AL President Abu Ahmed Mannafi and Dhaka North City AL Secretary-General SM Mannan Kochi talked.

AL’s Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam Amin conducted the function.

Eminent reciter Shimul Mustafa recited a poem of Poet Nirmalenda Goon on Bangabandhu.
