Manabzamin Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, 31 Others Sued under ICT Act

A defamation case has been lodged against the chief editor of Daily Manabzamin Matiur Rahman Chowdhury and 31 others under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act for allegedly publishing and spreading fake news on social media.

Lawmaker Magura-1 of the Awami League Saifuzzaman Shekhar lodged the complaint against them with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on Monday night.

On Tuesday afternoon Shujanur Islam, a Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station sub-inspector, confirmed this to media.
