Bangladeshi Dies from Coronavirus in Italy

An expatriate from Bangladesh died Friday night from coronavirus at a hospital in Milan, Italy.

The deceased was identified at Noakhali as Golam Mawla, 56, son of Hafez Ali Akbar of Companiganj Upazila.

Golam Mawla had been suffering from fever, cough, and respiratory problems and breathed his last breath at a hospital in Milan about 8 p.m. Friday night, Eampur Union Parishad Chairman Iqbal Chowdhury said citing members of his family.

He was positively tested for coronavirus, said family sources.  

He is the first patient in Bangladesh who has died in Italy from coronavirus.
