Bangladesh imposed a ban on the entry of foreign citizens from eleven land ports of the country as part of the fight against the spread of a new coronavirus (Covid-19).
The public security division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday issued an order in this regard mentioning that it will come into effect from March 22.
The restriction will remain imposed until further notice.
he land ports are Benapole in Jashore, Bhomra in Satkhira, Burimari in Lalmonirhat, Akhaura in Brahmanbaria, Nakugaon in Sherpur, Tamabil in Sylhet, Hili in Dinajpur, Banglaband in Panchagar, Darshana in Chuadanga, Sheola in Sylhet and Rowmari Land Ports.
