As part of its efforts to curb the spread of novel coronavirus, the Supreme Court authorities announced a general holiday for all courts throughout the world, including its Appellate and High Court Divisions, from March 29 to April 2.
Yesterday the Registrar General of the Supreme Court Md Ali Akbar issued a notification in this regard.
In the statement, he said the court closure declaration was rendered in accordance with the March 24 gazette notification from the Ministry of Public Administration declaring the closing of both public and private offices as part of its attempts to control coronavirus spread
Both the SC's Appellate and High Court Courts were set to resume following their current holiday on March 29.
