Narayanganj City Corporation Put under Lockdown

The Narayanganj administration on Tuesday night put a complete lockdown in the Naryanganj City Corporation District to avoid the spread of COVID-19 in a heavily populated commercial city.

The government's restriction policies come into force a day after City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy called on the government to enforce curfew in its City Corporation Area on Sunday.

Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Jashim Uddin said that the City Corporation region had been totally closed down as transport movements and people restricted after a number of COVID-19 patients had been found in the city.
