22-Year-Old Dies with COVID-19 Symptoms in Sunamganj

A 22-year-old man died with symptoms with COVID-19 in Dowarabazar Upazila, Sunamganj yesterday night.

His swab sample was collected and sent to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for examination, and his and surrounding homes were locked up, media reports quoting Dr. Delwar Hossain, Upazila Health Officer.

Quoting his family members, the doctor said, "The young man used to work as a day laborer in the brick kiln in Sylhet and returned home to the village of Boktarpur some 15 days ago with illness." He died at home suffering from fatigue, cough and breathing difficulties, the health official said. 

Preparing for his burial, maintaining the protocol, is in progress, he added.
