2 More Test Positive for Coronavirus in Keraniganj

Two people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Shuvadda and Kunda of Dhaka's Keraniganj Upazila on Thursday, with a total of 10 confirmed cases in the area.

Mir Mubarak Hossain, the Upazila health official, said that one of the patients was 26 years of age while the other was 39.

Samples of 32 people have been tested here so far. In addition, 19 more samples were collected on Thursday, he said.

Quazi Mainul Islam, officer-in-charge of the Keraniganj Model Police Station, said that six unions, including Shuvadda and Kunda, had already been locked down to prevent more virus transmission.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 330 coronavirus cases and 21 deaths. Of these, 112 cases and death were reported on Thursday.
