Doctor Infected with Coronavirus in Savar

A doctor works at the Savar Upazila Health Complex in the Dhaka district was infected with COVID-19 on Monday night.  

The Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Sayedul Huda confirmed that a doctor employed in a health complex tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The infected physician is now undergoing care at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka, capital, UHFPO added. 

Some 803 people caught the novel coronavirus and 39 died from the virus in Bangladesh as of Monday, when the nation first reported cases on 8 March.

Dhaka, the country's most populated region, has been worst hit by the virus with 407 reported cases.
