Bangladesh Reports 7 More Virus Deaths As Cases Top 1,000

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bangladesh has risen by 1,000 after 201 people tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.

Seven more people died of the disease during that time, raising the death count to 46, according to the health directorate.

It is the largest single rise in infections and deaths since the first reports of the virus appeared in the country on March 8.

The number of infections currently stands at 1,012.
