154 Doctors, Healthcare Workers Infected with Coronavirus

A total of 154 doctors and health care workers have so far been infected with coronavirus in the country, according to the Bangladesh Doctors Foundation.

Of these, 54 are doctors, Nirupam Das, Chief Administrator of the Bangladesh Physicians Foundation told the media.

They collected the information from the authorities concerned, he said.

Of the infected doctors, two are now at ICU, he said.

In the meantime, 209 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. According to the Directorate-General for Health Services, the overall number of affected people has therefore exceeded 1,012.

The death toll now stands at 46 with deaths of seven more coronavirus patients in the last 24 hours.
