Mymensingh Put Under Lockdown

Mymensingh has been placed under lockdown with a view to preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus in the area, according to a media report.

From Tuesday (today) at 5 p.m., the lockdown will begin until further notice, as told by Deputy Commissioner Md Mizanur Rahman of Mymensingh.

"The decision was taken after consultation with the district committee set up to track and deter coronavirus dissemination and the district civil surgeon," the notification stated.

During the shutdown, public transit will be absolutely shut down. None of them will be permitted to get in or out of the district.

Emergency services, such as medical, food supply chain, etc will be out of the purview of restriction.
