Bangladesh's GDP Growth to Slump to 2: IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted that Bangladesh's GDP growth would fall to 2% in the current fiscal year (2019-2020) as a consequence of the global coronavirus pandemic.

The forecast was published on its website on Wednesday in its World Economic Outlook.

However, the IMF said that Bangladesh's economy will rise by 9.5% in the next fiscal year (2020-2021).

Earlier, Bangladesh projected GDP growth of 7% for the current fiscal year.
