78 pc RMG Workers Received Salary: BGMEA

BGMEA President Ruban Huq said on Wednesday that approximately 19,19,600 ready-made garment workers received salaries from the 24,72,417 employees in their member factories.

She said they charged about 78% of the employees' salaries. The rest of them will get their wages within Thursday, she hoped.

We are trying to pay all workers within April 20, Rubana said.

“We requested all banks to corporate with them during the coronavirus crisis. No worker will go without salary in March,” she said.

According to the BGMEA source, a total of 1,186 factories have received salaries from 2,274 BGMEA member factories.
