1st Coronavirus Case Detected in Feni

A man was tested positive for coronavirus for the first time in the Feni district on Thursday.

The victim is a resident of West Madhugram under the Radhanagar Union in Chagolnaiya Upazila and used to work with a mobile phone company in Dhaka.

Dr. Sazzad Hossain, Feni Civil Surgeon, said the man had returned from Dhaka to his village on March 25 with fever and cold.

On April 14, a medical team collected a man's sample and sent it to BITID in Chattogram for a test that confirmed his infection, he said.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Wahiduzzaman said the man would be sent to the local hospital isolation center, and the decision to lock the whole village will be made later after evaluating the case.
