Coronavirus: Saif Powertec Donates Tk2cr to PM’s Relief Fund

Saif Powertec Limited, a public limited company, donated Tk2 crore to the Relief and Welfare Fund of the Prime Minister to support counter coronavirus outbreak.

All of the company's employees donated their one-day salaries amounting to Tk65 lakh, and the rest of the amount was given from the company's own fund, a press release said.

Managing Director of Saif Powertec Limited Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin handed over a donation check to the principal secretary of Prime Minister Ahmad Kaikaus on Wednesday. Prime Minister Sheik Hasina also attended a donation ceremony through a video conference.

Saif Powertec believes that this gift will help to implement the steps taken by the Prime Minister to counter the coronavirus pandemic in Bangladesh.

Earlier, the company engaged in power and material handling solutions, distributed relief materials to day-laborers working in the terminals of the port of Chittagong.
