Bangabandhu Killer Risaldar Moslehuddin Arrested

Risaldar Moslehuddin Khan, another convicted killer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, might have been arrested from his dwelling at North 24 Parganas of India.

Police may have arrested him with the help of Indian indigence agency, reports Indian Anandabazar Patrika.

Anandabazar published the report titling ''Mujiber Ar Ak Khuni Ki Ai Bongay'' on Monday.

Moslehuddin is living in West Bengal for several years disguising his identity like Abdul Majed, the report says.

Bangladesh intelligence agency divulged information about Moslehuddin interrogating another convicted killer Majed, according to Anandabazar.

The Supreme Court on November 19, 2009, upheld the death sentences of Risaldar Moslehuddin Khan and 11 other self-confessed killers of Bangabandhu. Of them, five were executed on January 27, 2010.

They were Syed Farooq Rahman, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, Bazlul Huda, AKM Mohiuddin Ahmed and Mohiuddin Ahmed.

On April 12, Captain Abdul Majed was executed.

5 other convicts, including Abdul Moslehuddin, remained at large. The other 5 killers are sacked Lt Col Khandaker Abdur Rashid, SHBM Noor Chowdhury, Shariful Haque Dalim, and Rashed Chowdhury.

Another condemned killer, Aziz Pasha, died in Zimbabwe in June 2001.
