9 More Die from Coronavirus in Bangladesh

Coronavirus took 9 more lives in the last 24 hours until Tuesday, taking the country's cumulative fatalities to 110.

In addition, a record number of 434 people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, raising the total of these cases in the country to 3382.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr. Nasima Sultana revealed the information in the daily health bulletin.

A total of 2,974 samples were tested across the country since yesterday, which is seven percent more than the previous day, Dr Nasima said.

The global death toll from coronavirus reached 170,435 on Tuesday morning.

According to the worldometer, 2,481,253 cases have been recorded around the world so far since the disease was first identified in China in December last year.

For those affected, 1,663,970 are still being handled and 56,766 are in moderate or critical condition.

So far, 646,848 people have recovered.

The World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
