COVID-19 Deaths Soar to 145 in Bangladesh

The death toll from the coronavirus in Bangladesh stood at 145 after 5 more people died from it in the last 24 hours till Saturday.

Besides, 418 more people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, taking the number of total confirmed cases to 5,416 in the country.

Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at the daily health bulletin broadcast from Mohakhali.

"In the last 24 hours, 9 people recovered from the disease, taking the number of total recovered patients to 122,'' Dr Nasima said.

"We can only hope to see the growing number of patients come down with your (public) help. Please stay indoors and follow health guidelines," Dr Nasima pleaded.
