Islamic University Student Diagnosed with Coronavirus in Jashore.

A student at Kushtia Islamic University has been diagnosed with coronavirus in Bagharpara Upazila.

The infected patient is a resident of the village of Pashima in the Upazila union of Narikelbaria.

Doctor Shariful Islam, Upazila Health Officer, and Family Planning Officer said that after coronavirus signs, his sample was sent to Jashore Science and Technology University for testing.

His sample was reported to have been tested positive on Sunday, Dr. Shariful said, adding that it was the first case of coronavirus in Upazila.

Later, Upazila nirbahi officer Tania Afroz put three houses under lockdown in the village.

The infected university student had been staying home for the last month, said the UNO, adding that he might have been infected from the community.
