COVID-19 Deaths Reach 152 in Bangladesh, Cases Nearly 6,000

The death toll from the coronavirus in Bangladesh stood at 152 after 7 more people died from it in the last 24 hours till Sunday.

Besides, a record number of 497 more people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, taking the number of total confirmed cases to 5,913 in the country.

Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at the daily health bulletin broadcast from Mohakhali.

"In the last 24 hours, 9 people recovered from the disease, taking the number of total recovered patients to 131,'' Dr Nasima said.

"We can only hope to see the growing number of patients come down with your (public) help. Please stay indoors and follow health guidelines," Dr Nasima pleaded.
