Coronavirus Cases Exceed 7,000, Death Toll Now 163

The death toll from the coronavirus keeps surging as 8 more people died from the deadly virus, taking the total number of deaths to 163 till Wednesday.

Besides, a record number of 641 more people tested positive for the disease during the last 24 hours, taking the number of total confirmed cases to 7,103 in the country.

Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at the daily health bulletin broadcast from Mohakhali.

"In the last 24 hours, we have tested 4,968 samples,'' she said.

''11 people recovered from the disease, taking the number of total recovered patients to 150,'' Dr Nasima added.
