COVID-19 Situation Critical in Bangladesh

The death toll from the coronavirus keeps surging as 5 more people died from the deadly virus, taking the total number of deaths to 168 till Thursday.

Besides, 564 more people tested positive for the disease during the last 24 hours, taking the number of total confirmed cases to 7,667 in the country.

Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at the daily health bulletin broadcast from Mohakhali.

"In the last 24 hours, we have tested 4,965 samples,'' she said.

''10 people recovered from the disease, taking the number of total recovered patients to 160,'' Dr Nasima added.
