Coronavirus Death Toll Climbs to 175 in Bangladesh

The Death toll from the deadly novel coronavirus has soared up to 175 in Bangladesh as 5 more people died in the last 24 hours with coronavirus infections, the Health Services Directorate (DGHS) said today.

The death toll now stands at 175, DGHS Additional Director General (administration) Prof. Dr Nasima Sultana said during a briefing.

Besides, 552 individuals tested positive for the disease  In the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of those infected is now 8,790.

Meanwhile, a further 3 people undergoing treatment at various hospitals recovered from the outbreak, bringing the total number of recoveries to 177.

Meanwhile, 168 more people have been brought under official isolation, she added.
